About us
Joshua Generation Foundation and Youth Development
Is a Nonprofit Organization (NGO) established in 2001 in Nigeria with the aim to empower the orphans and vulnerable children by providing them with free and qualitative education, care, support, skills-training and social rehabilitation. Since its inception, JGF has provided training, free education and skills-development for orphans, the less privileged and impoverished young children and teenagers in Nigeria, some of who may have been mentally and/or physically abused. Our drive is to give these young ones hope, a reason to smile, and a chance to express their potentials and make meaningful contributions to the building of a society full of well trained and developed minds.

The Challenge
A survey conducted by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) indicates that the population of out of school children in Nigeria has risen from 10.5 million to 13.2 million, the highest in the world.
Nigeria’s budgetary spending on education is not enough to quell the widening gap. Because of poverty. The education deprivation in northern Nigeria is driven by various factors, including insistent crisis, communal clashes, economic barriers and socio-cultural norms and practices that discourage attendance in formal education, especially for young girls.
But we can change this!
Our goal is to care for the ‘uncared for’ and to provide free and qualitative basic education to the orphans and vulnerable children in local communities in Nigeria.
Our Plans
We desire to admit more students, as targetted, additional 250 students this year
Build a proper structure to accomodate all our students.
Provide better facilities and equipment for learning especially for Secondary School practicals.
Establish good study library for the students hence, encouraging them to study better
Provide computers and IT gadgets for Information and Technology training.
Provide funds to raise the stipends of the care givers and the teachers who are always there for these children
